Class Rates

Classes
enrolling now:

Summer classes with Jess Bates starting now in Seattle through the end of July.
Private classes or group classes may be arranged at any time, schedules and locations are negotiable. Please e-mail with interest : jessbates (at) gmail.com

Length of classes:

Oil painting and drawing classes are usually 2 hours each, once per week. The duration of a class is usually seven weeks.

Private class rates:

you provide location

$50/hr (2hrs) up to three people, or $80/hr (2 hrs) for individuals. Most classes average six weeks. One-person classes may have flexible schedules, such as meeting every two weeks, etc.

For a six week class this would total:

One person $480
Two persons $300 each ($600 total)
Three persons $150 per person ($900 total)

Group class rates:

More than three people: $125 each for the six weeks if you can provide a location.
Group rates will vary depending on renting a location, and may be subject to a minimum class size.

Locations:

Individuals: We can work at my apartment or your home/studio.
Up to three people: One of you will have to provide a location.
Groups: You may have to provide the location, or we may be able to rent a location.

Payment:

Individual or group private classes: Your payment for each class is due the week before that class is held (usually you will pay for the next class at the end of each class day). 10% discount for payments-in-full.

Group classes for which we rent a space: Payment in full when you sign up.

Workshops

Guilding: Canvases.
One day, 3 hrs. Materials are included in the cost. $65 per person, 3 person minimum.

Composition: a 1-hour add-on workshop to any drawing or painting class $25 per person.
